The Durham Transportation Master Plan (TMP) is a strategic planning document that defines the policies, programs and infrastructure needed to meet the Region’s transportation needs to 2031 and beyond. The TMP addresses planned future growth in Durham by recommending a transportation system that balances strategic road network expansion with more transit services, cycling and walking opportunities while enhancing safety, promoting sustainability, reducing environmental impacts and supporting economic development.
